CHILDHOOD, TYPICALLY. Her earliest memories with her family are the most amicable. Sitting on the laps of her parents, getting costumed by her mother, gifts from her father, playing games with her brothers. She’s too young to question anything. She perceives the family dynamic as normal and as love. But the older she gets, the more she becomes more of her own person, she notices the distancing. Symbolism Map

Amusing no one but myself here. But I like to have little motifs of sorts that carry throughout my writing that have soft-meaning. I love visual devices in movies, okay.

Belly / Midriff — often she wears her belly/midriff out in the clothes she chooses or is chosen for her. this shows her vulnerability.
Barefoot — often she's depicting without shows where scene permits. this show her connection to nature and/or her surroundings. it can also mean she's stripped down to her natural self.
Left-Side Body Wounds — wounds depicted on the left-side of her body (where the heart is) will have some tie-in with heartly matters (like love, the start of her love, the birth of it, etc). if its made noted that the wound is on left, it means something.
Nose Bleeds — stress and/or overwhelm.

Columns register separately in carrd's editor, so in order to make the count of the numerals consistent between columns, change the "start at" number in this column to the next number after the last one of the left column. So if the last number in the left is a 6, you would set this to 7, so it would start at 7 and go onward. By default the left ends at 3 so this column starts at 4, to demonstrate how this works. The unofficial Main Verse; it's ruined everything ( affectionately ).There's been a long standing feud between two neighboring planets, her home planet and another. And although her father, a king, has no problem growing his power by seizing control of smaller planets and territories, he's kept the treaty between the two. Until she starts a romance with the prince of the other planet, and her father uses it as fuel to sever the peace. He destroys the planet, killing everyone including her boyfriend. Now, as an adult she struggles to find the balance in not stepping on family toes and her Inner Light.

Fantasy.

Compatible with: Game of Thrones, A Court of Thorns and Roses, Lord of the Rings, Etc.Similar to Galaxie Verse in lore, minus space stuff. Very Flexible. Will update when I develop it more / add specific fandom deviation/canons. Belarilia is typically an island instead of a planet but can be plotted otherise if it makes more sense for fandom/story.

Compatible with: any historical fandoms and settings.The first half of Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette meets the People's Princess Diana. The youngest of the Ora bloodline and the only daughter in a family that was supposed to bare only Sons. Various timeperiods. She is a Princess of France or Gallia/Gaul depending on the timeline.

Compatible with: any.Modern Royalty things. I can do whatever I want with this. "Realistic", campy, alt universe, whatever and wherever the story takes me, us.

Vamp.

Compatible with: Interview with the Vampire / The Vampire Chronicles, The Vampire Diaries, What We Do in the Shadows, other fandoms involving vampires, etc.From a family that has a legacy in the film industry. An actress and singer. Finds it difficult to survive without her maker. Non-violent vampire. Has a proclivity towards vampire blood.At some point in the timeline has a run in with a group of vampires that hurt her for interfering in a kill and thinking she shouldn't have been made due to her softer nature. They do not end up killing her.Sired by @rejectory's Lestat de Lioncourt in mid-1960s and married him. Disclaimer: If other romantic pairings happen in this verse, for whatever reason they aren't together anymore. No cheating plots. Won't catch her saying anything bad about him either way.

Compatible with: any.Exploring family dyns in a modern non-royalty setting. She grows up mostly with nannies and au pairs. And boarding school when she's older. She's either subsided by her family or attempts to live without them. Flexible.

Compatible with: The Walking Dead, any zombie apocalypse setting.Sometime in the beginning she's saved by a group of frat boys. Everything is good until she finds a group of hostages in the basement and discovers the Frat boys are cannibals. When its her time for the chopping block, she engages in a makeout with one of the FBs until they're distracted enough to be stabbed in the leg. She narrowly gets away. Was bite by zombie once but never turned. Placement is vague/open.

Belarilia is a lush, plant-and-water-dense planet. Temperatures never get to freezing point and lowers are usually found in desert nights.
The underground living structures are more vast than the above ones / or structures are half under and above to account of fluxing ground levels. Built in/with the land instead of against. Most structures are ancient and made of lasting materials. Rare is new construction. There are lots of sunken pits for things like lounging, dinning, and bathing ( varying in size and shape, considering the spaces they occupy ). There's a connecting tunneling system that takes learning to properly navigate.
Hara has two places in which she stays. A bedroom in the main family "palace". And more commonly used dwelling deeper into the royal grounds: the structure can be entered above ground or an underground tunnel ( uncommonly known ).

Brothers

In birth order, from eldest to youngest.

LURAS ORA — Most like his father, maybe even worse. The king’s favorite and the heir being primed for the next King. He comes off as charming in public but is a monster behind closed doors. The epitome of privilege. Has no sad backstory or excuse for his behavior. Does not have the capabilities to love or care for anyone. One major inspiration is Commodus in Gladiator ( 2000 ). EMERTON ORA — Conflicted. Doesn’t come around often. Does care for Hara but won’t likely betray Luras or the family in the end.

ILEX ORA — Married, ruling the planet of his spouse. TERNCE ORA — The real reason of his death is unknown by the general public. He was murdered by Ekien. Can be something a character could know somehow but warning, I have no worked out the reason why he died yet. APOLLOX ORA — He is the youngest son and the second youngest of Ekien and Minva Ora's children. Spoiled. Uninterested in taking sides or politics. Likes the privileges of royalty. HARA ORA — Only daughter. Youngest and last offspring.

Or at least in the instant she gets it because afterwards, it would make her feel worse about her fall from their grace.I think it gets more complicated when she starts understanding the benevolent utopia that is her planet appears to be is more face than body. Meaning it is the image of her family had crafted over multi-generations / thousands of years and less factual. But her idea of true wickedness has limitations. She doesn’t understand evil until she witnesses it. Her father destroys a planet to kill her boyfriend and her boyfriend’s family legacy would have never been something her imagination could come up with. Especially combining that and how she found out what true love really looks like, It serves as a paradigm shift. Childhood ends for her at sixteen in this sense.

CIRCA SIXTEEN AND BEYOND

After her father's execution decision, Hara enters a state of mourning that lasts until she's almost eighteen. Ekien decides to end it for her because she needed for sovereign/family obligations. During this time, she wouldn't be seen often and if she were she wouldn't have said anything or said very few. Best described as a "catatonic state". Although it is typical for Belarilians to mourn and mourn fiercely, she took it unusually hard.CIRCA EIGHTEEN TO TWENTY-SOMETHING
Typically quieter when reentering society, events, etc. It takes awhile for her to warm into herself again but she is never unwarm.The biggest event is her eighteenth birthday. Since her birthday falls on The Summer Solstice, it's a consequential occasion. Comparable to a holiday. It lasts days. She is considered officially, completely back after her eighteenth.She resumes attending dinners with important planetary guests. And continues humanitarian work on and eventually off planet.

Marriage

The Belarilian Marriage Orthodox includes a practice commonly referred to as "Covenant and Cloak": a blood oath of palms that serves as a non-sexual consummation and a symbolic transfer of cloak "to cloak under ones name/protection".

The Cloak. The groom takes off the cloak he's wearing and puts it over the bride's shoulders. A visual representation that he's now taking over the responsibility of protection beyond just name alone.
The Cicatrix. Groom and Bride both cut deeply into their palms and then press their hands together. They recite the words to each other: "Ouvre-moi à toi." 𝑡𝑟𝑎𝑛𝑠𝑙𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛: 𝑜𝑝𝑒𝑛 𝑚𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑦𝑜𝑢. They are no longer two but one. Depending on the couple and situation, this part can be preformed during the ceremony or after. It is not always necessary for witnesses because the cut to the palm should always leave a scar. Some couples opt out of sharing this moment because it can be very intimate. Example: In a marriage love-based, Princess Hara would prefer to do it privately — it would likely arouse and swiftly lead to other intimacies. However, if it was a marriage duty-based, she would ideally hope the Groom would not know this custom or not care.
Not common to happen but a marriage could be considered illegitimate without the cicatrix. Example: Prince Luras has used this to get out of a marriage after the alliance no longer served him or the family. Some that choose not to do the cicatrix part aren't necessarily doing it for nefarious reasons. But those that do not are often looked down upon, if they don't have the privilege of title. Attempting to heal a circatrix is especially taboo, even for those nobleborn.

Medicine

A mix of ancient and advance medicine. Culture beliefs can have impact on care, often having fatal consequences.

Blood Transfusion. — Not a typical practice and needs to abide by culture beliefs and customs for it to be acceptable. Accepting blood from family members is permitted since you already share blood. Accepting blood from non-family members is not permitted unless that person has enacted in Marriage Orthodox since you share eachother's blood after Cicatrix. Some Belarilians that can afford it will have blood stock. Unless you have stock or someone that shares your blood nearby than you are expected to die instead of accepting blood from a non-permitted source.
Healing Clay. — naturally sourced clay from various caves on planet can help minor wounds, bruises, and aliments and/or help speed the healing process. Must keep clay damp which is why it is recommended to stay in cave spaces.

Leadership

The Belarilian sovereignty has been under the Ora lineage for thousands of years. Where Ekien Ora has started to infringe too harshly into the delicate balance of tradition and new order, Luras Ora rides that trajectory far worse.

The King and his heir operate on a bisected rule. It's how the next in line is primed for their Reigning Day. This bi-rule typically starts when the heir comes of age. Prince Luras Ora started the responsibility when he turned twenty-one.
Ekien and his heir accumulate Power in many ways. Including the absorbing of smaller planets and territories. By any means possible. Exemplars: Violence as violence, deliberate biological warfare, and marriage unions.

Fore-Grasp

Similar to the gesture of a hand-shake or at times a hug, the fore-grasp can have various meanings. Including but not limited to: greeting, respect, intimidation, etc. Two people grasp somewhere above the wrist. One begins with their hand facing south and the other facing north. And then rotate to reverse and complete the gesture. There's several variations on this gesture including but not limited to: speed, strength, flipping rotation back and forth, how long it lingers, etc. There are some incidents where gesture begins and ends with hands facing west and east.*gif below close enough to what i envision a basic fore-grasp gesture.

Unefois

A rare and sacred flower that blooms in the desert. More info in locations.

The Unefois comes once a year for about a week. This week is treated like a holiday.
The unefois is a great remedy for an umbrella of minor ailments. Including acute respiratory inflammation. The petals can ease pain some but it's most notably known for how much it improves breathing in the window of its effects. Used for medical and recreationally.

Funérailles

It's common Belarilian practice to honor the dead with a lengthy mourning phase. Four to seven months, typically, but can extend beyond this. It is custom to pay respects on death anniversaries with at least a day of mourning-return.

Nobleborns are less likely to partake in anything surpassing a month; notably, the Ora family find weakness to prolonging the phase.
The Princess Hara excluded. Although not un-interrupted, she remained in the phase for for nearly two years when her boyfriend died. She will be unseen on a death anniversary and the days surrounding for however long she needs that year. Typically a week.
There are no graveyards on Belarilia. Dead are put in the earth and seeds of choice are grown above them.
It is disrespectful to turn someone to ash after death. No cremation.

Daughter / Deviant

Extra information mostly Hara Ora centered that can't fit elsewhere.

With the bounty of sons, Hara was expected to be the next. When she was born a daughter, it was unwanted and put a stop on heir-producing between Ekien Ora and Minva Ora.
Princess Hara has been kidnapped once or twice.
Eyes is term relating to spies. Namely her Father/family spies. But can be used by anyone in any context.
A lot of governesses, handmaidens, and other staff assigned to her have come and gone frequently throughout the years. This can be blamed on her attachment issues but its mainly so she does not get close to anyone. A childhood friend @vitalphenomena's Spirit Harris is notably someone that's lasted longer than the majority but was ~~assumed~~ phased out, too.
Usually pertaining to Star Wars universe but can be used elsewhere: Hara is force sensitive but untrained.
Poison jewelry. Most commonly worn when she’s off planet. Dangling earrings, rings, necklaces. When I reference them in threads, I usually depict them as red ( though in canon they can be any color ). The idea is if she were to be in a bad situation, she could give herself an out. It does not typically cross her mind to use it on someone else.
She has a rapport with some nearby animals in one way or another. The most significant is a wild jaguarundi that comes and goes as he pleases. She calls him Cubbie. She usually keeps one of her windows or doors open for him. Sometimes he can be seen lingering on the outskirts watching her.

l'Étendue Desert — a southern smallish desertThe only desert on Belarilia. The southwest side meets the ocean. There are communities of people residing in various pockets, including some religious sects and/or fanatics.The Unefois flower grows where l'Étendue begins. In water pans that are at least deep enough to swallow a common ankle. Some have found blooms deeper within the desert.

Clay Caves — several locationsCaverns of various sizes, but typically big enough to fit at least five people comfortably. Pits of healing clays can be found here.It is custom is wash off first. Some caves contain a natural pool in the same space as clay pits. Some have a natural pool nearby or a manmade bath or shower.Apply clay to injured and/or ailment. If small enough, wrap a damp cloth around wound and carry on with your day. Typically, you would stay in the space until the recommended time comes to an end.

Some notable memory cleans are: when she ran away at seventeen, when she accidental killed people, when she's seen or heard things she shouldn't have. ꒰ა ♡ ໒꒱ 2 — Angel Lung ( almost ) always has earphones in and listening to music. It keeps her calm and in the zone. She's also the "DJ" of The Ethereals ... got the playlist for the post-battles and what-have-you. When she's at the The Ethereal Estate and/or hotels, she's using a soundbox or listening to vinyl. ꒰ა ♡ ໒꒱ 3 — Angel Lung lives with The Ethereals in an estate in the French countryside. Underneath the estate is a multi-story lab.

In fact, a lot about her is not public knowledge. If your character knows anything you can't google. Characters can know it / other details about her if it makes sense for them to! ꒰ა ♡ ໒꒱ 5 — There's been Angel Lung merch since she's been an active hero: collectible dolls, volumes of poetry, water bottles, clothes, notebooks, etc, see below for some mock-ups. ꒰ა ♡ ໒꒱ 6 — She picked her name when she was ... fifteen? Ig, since that's when she became active ... maybe sometime before. Update if I decide anything more concrete. ꒰ა ♡ ໒꒱ 7 — Saults Corp has a substance they can inject her with that does sedate her. ... Something something used her DNA to make something effective. ꒰ა ♡ ໒꒱ 8 — She does not handle unsuccessful saves well. ꒰ა ♡ ໒꒱ 8 — Her origins are unknown to her. She thinks she was lab-made. She arrived via egg-shaped hypersleep pod when she was young. She is not human ... she is Belarilian.

Ian ... A year older than Angel Lung. Was a friend in childhood. Has used his telekinesis powers to stop her from leaving before. Ran away with her. But when they accidentally got split up, ended up going back to Saults. She doesn't remember but he was the one that helped them get her back. Unsure if he's still in the picture... prob not.
@deficd's Aposynthos ... Sent to Saults estate and lab when he was twelve by his Uncle. Because Angel Lung helped temper his tumultuous emotions and powers in a way scientists couldn't, they were afforded to spend a lot of time together. His Uncle is apart of the board: financially and an influence in decisions. Originally went by Bloodbath but rebranded to Aposynthos.
Gabriel ... or Gabe. He wants at the estate. She's unsure what he does exactly but he's always been around. In his 30s? When she was a kid, his old MP3 player was 1/2 she used to use.

@unpossession's Wraith the Oracle & Supertonic ... this cousin duo had signed to Saults Corp a few years after Angel Lung had become active. Wraith and Angel Lung are friends. Supertonic and Sigmund are friends.
@eviji's Eurostar ... Angel Lung has a public camaraderie with this European Hero. Meet when he briefly worked with Saults & The Ethereals. Sigmund erased a mission Eurostar and Angel Lung went onto together sometime after. They don't remember: Angel Lung allowing Eurostar to run tests on her, the mission, the flood Angel Lung accidentally caused, or that they secretly dated. All records of tests done were destroyed or taken into Saults own vault records.

꒰ა ♡ ໒꒱ 2 — Wing growth is painful and takes time. It's bloody and ... kinda, gross ... in a beautiful Melrose art kind of way. As I do. ꒰ა ♡ ໒꒱ 3 — She is not her usually Angel Lung self. She is unsure what to call herself. She's a little more animal-like. She will ... sometimes show up in your bed. ꒰ა ♡ ໒꒱ 4 — The music she listens to is generally more moodier.

HC 1 — Her first kiss was onscreen when she was thirteen with her co-star and later-on frontman of Deathless Sun @deficd's Feyd-Rautha. When she was sixteen they re-met at that year's Met Ball and he ends up being the first person she slept with too. She has a handful of songs about him throughout the years and various projects. HC 2 — Dated a guy in a British band briefly. They recorded a duet and she harmonized on a few of his other tracks. They broke up two weeks before his album release and he scrubbed her from it in a rush. That hurt more than the break-up. Since their was teasing of her involvement, her lack and delays in pre-orders was talked about more than the actually body of work.

HC 3 — Definitely has had some public meltdowns on stage. Crying during performances, etc. HC 4 — Swear she would never do acting again. While on vacation, she meets a director working on his passion project inspired by his life. She accepts a role in it and it semi-heals her distaste for acting. Still does not want to do it primarily and is selective with the projects she chooses.
